Students may complete part of the elective study requirements (elective courses) at another faculty - member of the University of Maribor (UM).

Electives between UM members are available to full-time and part-time students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Electivity means the possibility for a student to choose and then take one or more elective units from the 5 pillars of electives when enrolling in a new academic year:

- A. Programmatic or Professional Electivity
- B. Faculty elective
- C. Inter-faculty elective
- D. Credit-bearing extra-curricular activity
- E. Option to choose any unit of study at another university.
