PERSONS WITHOUT STATUS - STUDY AFTER INTERRUPTION

Persons whose student status has expired and who have not completed the study requirements for the academic year but wish to continue their studies must apply using the form:

Applications for resumption of studies after interruption will be considered by the Academic Affairs Committee (which will decide on any modified or additional requirements) from October onwards. In September, we prioritise the application process for freshmen and students (with status).

Upon request, we will arrange the renewal of your digital identity (username + password) for the current academic year and issue a decision if, after reviewing your study obligations, it is determined that your study programme has changed.

In the event of a change in the study programme, the Academic Affairs Committee will assign additional study requirements to the non-status holder who is continuing his/her studies after the interruption, in accordance with the changed study programme and in accordance with Articles 122 and 123 of the UM Statutes. Major changes to the study programmes of level 1 and level 2 are again foreseen as of the beginning of the academic year 2023/2024 Study programmes of level 1 and 2 will be changed as of the beginning of the academic year 2023/2024. study programmes of level 1 and level 2 will be changed as of the beginning of the academic year 2023/2024.

It is the responsibility of the person without status to submit the Course Examination Form to the Student Affairs Office at least 3 days before the start of each course - TIMETABLE .

Examination Schedule:

Contributions (Study Fees 2024/2025)

1. On the basis of an application for continuation of studies after interruption, an invoice for the enrolment fee of € 64.63 will be issued to the person without status;

2. In the event of a decision being issued, the person without status will be asked to pay a decision fee of €18.10;

3. In accordance with the approved UM Price List for the academic year 2024/2025 and the Instructions on Contributions and Evaluation of Costs at UM No. 012/N 2/2023/412-SF, the following services are additionally charged to persons without status:

  • Examination - 40,70 €.
  • Board examination - 122,10 €, (see: Examination).
  • Examination of a course - the calculation of the price of each unit of study takes into account the tuition fee for each study programme, as approved by the UM Board of Governors in its price list, and the number of ECTS credits of the unit of study.
  • Registration of the 1st and 2nd cycle final thesis topic for persons without status - 101,80 €.
  • Extension of the validity of the thesis topic for persons without 1st and 2nd cycle status - 81,40 €.
  • Registration of a doctoral thesis topic for persons without doctoral status - 203,50 €.

The services referred to in point 3 shall be paid for in the amount and within the time limit indicated on the invoice. When paying the invoice, you must be sure to quote the reference indicated on the invoice. No fee will be charged for timely withdrawals from examinations arranged in accordance with the Regulations on Examination and Assessment at UM, N19/2010-41 AG (and amendments to the Regulations!). Please note that you must keep all receipts of payment.

Promotion to the next year

When a person without status fulfils the conditions for promotion to a higher year, he/she must notify the Student Affairs Office in writing, no later than the first half of September of the current academic year, by e-mail (Subject: Enabling e-enrolment after interruption of studies) to:
