Dušan Mežnar holds a PhD in International Management. He completed his PhD in June 2000 at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, with the title "The Management Function of the Slovenian Paper Industry in the Process of Globalisation". He started his studies at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Technology, where he graduated in 1986 with a degree in electrical engineering-automation, and continued his studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Maribor, where he also completed his Master's degree in international management in 1993. He started his rich career as a development engineer at the Mežica Mine and then held managerial roles in companies such as Cablex Mežica, TAM p.l.c., Paloma l.t.d., Lesna p.l.c., Slovenske železarne, Tovarna vozidel Maribor, Sijaj Hrastnik, Lesna, Miador Orman. Assist. Prof. Drago Mežnar, Ph. D. is also active as an advisor to company boards and lecturer at renowned universities at home and abroad. In addition, he has furthered his knowledge at a number of prestigious educational institutions, including the London Business School and Harvard Business School. His research results have also been published in reputable international journals such as: Asian Journal of Business and Management Sciences, MDPI, Journal of supply chain management and others.
