COMPLETING THE STUDY REQUIREMENTS FOR
THE HIGHER STUDY YEAR

Application - completing the study requirements for the higher study year

At its 12th Ordinary Session, held on 15 April 2021, the Student Affairs Committee adopted the following decisions:

1. The Academic Affairs Committee agrees that the student should be granted the upper year study requirements with the prior agreement of the unit provider. The Student Affairs Committee need not consider the application if the student is enrolled in a year, is re-enrolled in a year or has an extended status, and fulfils the conditions in accordance with the provisions of Article 8 of the Regulations on Examination and Assessment at the UM, it being understood that a student (Article 8.3.8 of the Regulations on Examination and Assessment at the UM) who is enrolled in the second year has achieved 60 ECTS for both the first year and the current year.

2. The student submits an application, which can be made via the University e-mail address, with the exact details of the unit of study he/she wishes to take for the upper year to the responsible Student Affairs Office. The Student Affairs Office will check the student's status and the ECTS credits completed by year and inform the unit tutor/teacher. The unit leader/teacher shall assess whether the student can be included in the teaching process of the unit, taking into account that the student must complete all the study requirements of the upper year courses in accordance with the accredited curriculum and organisational possibilities. The decision is communicated to the Student Affairs Office, which, in the case of the possibility of inclusion in the teaching process, arranges the entry of the learning unit in the student record and access to the moodle e-learning environment. The Student Services Office informs the student of the institution's decision.

3. Students who take up their studies after interrupting their studies as a person without a study status are not allowed to complete the study requirements for the higher study year.
